Yael Dahan grew up in Los Angeles. She discovered her passion for dance at A Time for Dance Studio. She then continued to study ballet, tap, hip-hop, and musical theater throughout her schooling years. Yael also has a passion for teaching and began her teaching in 2019. Her enthusiasm for dance extends beyond personal practice; she's eager to share her knowledge and love for the art form with her students. Now embarking on the next chapter of her dance journey, Yael is excited to bring her vibrant energy and creative approach to teaching at Penny’s Dance Studio.
Leah Schinsing grew up dancing in Upstate New York at Sandy Stramonine’s School of Dance and is now a dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in NYC. She holds a BFA in Dance from Adelphi University where she was classically trained in Ballet, Modern, and multiple other styles. Leah has also attended multiple summer and winter intensives with the Paul Taylor American Modern Dance Company, the Mark Morris Dance Group, Jon Lehrer Dance Company, and many more. In the past Leah has taught all ages and styles of dance in schools, studios, and workshops, and she is thrilled to be at Penny’s!
Sophia Pielet, originally from El Paso, Texas, studied at the El Paso Ballet Theatre. Pursuing her passion for dance in college, she performed works by Ashley Lindsey, Juel D. Lane, Kira Blazek-Ziaii, Shen-Weii, and Igal Perry at The University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Sophia also explored choreography for the stage and film. In 2022, she attended workshops and spent a summer at Hubbard Street Dance. In 2021, Sophia contributed behind the scenes at The Boston Ballet Summer Intensive, serving as a residential counselor and mentor. She graduated from The University of North Carolina School of the Arts in May 2023, majoring in Contemporary Dance with a minor in Arts Entrepreneurship. Currently based in New York City, Sophia is a freelance dancer and a Thomas S. Kenan Fellow with Lincoln Center Education. And is currently working on a duet project set to perform in January 2024 at the Clark Theatre at Lincoln Center. She is looking forward to bringing her passion for teaching to Penny’s Dance Studio and growing alongside aspiring young artists and passionate movers.
Rina Greenberg is originally from Los Angeles. She recently made the exciting move to New York earlier this year. Dancing has been her passion since she was a little girl, and she has had the privilege of teaching at a studio in LA for 5 years. Now, she is thrilled to bring her love for dance and teaching to the vibrant dance community of New York, at Penny's Dance Studio.
