Yael Dahan grew up in Los Angeles. She discovered her passion for dance as a young girl. She studied ballet, tap, hip-hop, and musical theater throughout her schooling years. Her enthusiasm for dance extends beyond personal practice; she's eager to share her knowledge and love for the art form with her students. Now embarking on the next chapter of her dance journey, Yael is excited to bring her vibrant energy and creative approach to teaching at Penny’s Dance Studio.
Leah Schinsing grew up dancing in Upstate New York at Sandy Stramonine’s School of Dance and is now a dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in NYC. She holds a BFA in Dance from Adelphi University where she was classically trained in Ballet, Modern, and multiple other styles. Leah has also attended multiple summer and winter intensives with the Paul Taylor American Modern Dance Company, the Mark Morris Dance Group, Jon Lehrer Dance Company, and many more. In the past Leah has taught all ages and styles of dance in schools, studios, and workshops, and she is thrilled to be at Penny’s!
Shanley O’Brien is a WV native, and WVU graduate with a BA in Dance and a Minor in Fashion Design and Merchandising. She began dancing at a young age with the Charleston Ballet, where she studied ballet technique for over a decade. She later trained in contemporary, modern, jazz and tap dance with the Academy of Arts at January’s. She has performed and choreographed in WVU Dance productions, taught youth and college level dance classes, and studied abroad with Israeli contemporary dance companies. She is looking forward to starting this new chapter at Penny's!
Katie Jaffie, New York based dancer and teacher, started her dance career at Harbor Ballet Theatre and Amy Tyler School of Dance on Long Island where she predominantly studied ballet. She then attended Adelphi University, graduating in 2023 where she found a love for contemporary and modern dance as well. Since graduating, Jaffie has been freelancing in NYC and New Jersey with companies such as Ballet Verite, Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theatre, and currently Lawton Dance Collective. She loves teaching ballet, contemporary, tap, acro, and hiphop.
Chana Fischer has always had a passion for gymnastics. Starting at a young age she’s been developing her skills through self-teaching and dedication. She is committed to fostering a positive and encouraging environment where her students can develop both their gymnastics abilities and confidence. Chana Fischer thrives on helping young gymnasts reach their full potential and finds great joy in watching them grow and succeed.
Rina Greenberg is originally from Los Angeles. She recently made the exciting move to New York earlier this year. Dancing has been her passion since she was a little girl, and she has had the privilege of teaching at a studio in LA for 5 years. Now, she is thrilled to bring her love for dance and teaching to the vibrant dance community of New York, at Penny's Dance Studio.
